A fire panel is the central nervous system of a fire alarm system.
It is responsible for monitoring the various components of the system and coordinating the appropriate response in the event of a fire emergency.
The primary function of a fire panel is to receive signals from smoke detectors, heat sensors, and manual call stations throughout a building.
When one of these devices is triggered, the fire panel analyzes the information and determines the appropriate course of action.
This may include sounding alarms, activating emergency lighting, and notifying the fire services.
